  • 5 Spring Onions
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • 1tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1tsp Ground Cumin
  • 475g Beef Mince
  • 2tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 150g (Drained) Cooked Black Beans (Crushed)
  1. Fry the spring onions and garlic for 2-3 minutes
  2. Stir in the smoked paprika and cumin and cook for 1 minutes before tipping into a mixing bowl
  3. Add the mince, mustard and beans into the bowl. Season and mix
  4. Shape into 4 patties. Chill for 30 minutes
  5. Brush the patties with oil and over a medium-high heat fry for 3-4 minutes
  6. Transfer into oven for 5-10 minutes until cooked

  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 500g Lamb Mince
  • 50g Breadcrumbs
  • 2tsp Mint
  • 1tsp Oregano
  • 1tsp Rosemary
  • Zest 1 Lemon
  • Pinch of Cinnamon
  • 50g Yoghurt
  1. Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 7 (220c)
  2. Fry the chopped onions and cook until soft
  3. Add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Allow to cool
  4. Mix all the ingredients together and season
  5. Divide into 6 and make into patties
  6. Bake in oven for 12-15 minutes

  • 3tbsp Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 ½ tsp Tabasco Sauce
  • 500g Chicken Mince
  • 4 Shallots
  • 30g Breadcrumbs
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 4 Bread Rolls
  • ½ Lettuce (Shredded)
  • 1 Tomato
  • 40g Stilton
  1. Combine the barbecue and tabasco sauces in a bowl and set aside
  2. Put the chicken mince, 1 tbsp sauce mixture, shallots, celery, breadcrumbs and garlic in a bowl
  3. Season and mix well form into 1cm wide patties
  4. Brush the tops of the patties with half the remaining sauce mixture
  5. Put the patties on the griddle pan sauce side down.
  6. Brush the other side with the sauce
  7. Cook for 5 minutes on each side
  8. Assemble the burgers using toasted rolls, lettuce, tomato, patties and cheese

1. Mix the lamb mince, lemon zest, ground cumin, chilli, garlic, cheese and mint

  • 1 Courgette
  • 500g Turkey Mince
  • Grated Zest ½ Lemon
  • ½ tsp Salt
  1. Preheat oven to Gas Mark 7 (220c)
  2. Fry the leeks for 3 minutes until softened. Leave to cool for 5 minutes
  3. Add the grated courgette, minced turkey, lemon zest, salt and pepper to the leeks
  4. Form into 8 Balls and flatten to burger shapes
  5. Bake for 5 minutes on each side

Makes 6 Burgers

  • 2 tsp. olive oil
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. butter
  • 226g mushrooms, sliced
  • 900g ground beef
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. ground pepper
  • 125g brie cheese, cut into small pieces
  1. Pre-heat the grill to a medium heat.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan and cook the onions with pinch of salt until caramel brown in colour and soft.
  3. Place the onions on a plate for later and keep the pan for cooking mushrooms.
  4. For the burgers, put the beef, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  5. Mix by hand to combine well and divide into 6 even portions.
  6. Take half of each portion and form into a thin patty.
  7. Grill cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side.
  8. Top each thin patty with some of the brie and onions, then top with the other half of each portion and form around cheese and onions, into one large patty.
  9. Place the burgers under a preheated grill and cook according to your preferences.
  10. While the burgers are grilling, cook the mushrooms in a little butter.
  11. Once the burgers are cooked remove them from grill and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  12. Layer mushrooms and onions over the cooked burgers and serve
